Forest Gump is a well known film by many different audiences, whilst being 14 years old it is still rated number 8 best comedy film picked by the users of imdb. The film was a winner of 6 academy awards including best picture, best director (Robert Zemeckis)and best actor (Tom Hanks). The Film made $677 million worldwide through its ts theatrical run, making it the top grossing film in America released in 1994.

The film follows Forest Gumps (Tom Hanks) journey through life, starting at his childhood in Alabama USA, him in fighting in the Vietnam War, His fame with table tennis, his money with his shrimp company and investment, and the final days of the film with the passing of family members leaving him alone with his kid.
The film is a very emotional with a mixture of highs and lows which change through out the whole film. I believe the film is a must see and is definantly one of my favourites.
