Superbad Review

Superbad was directed by Greg Mottola, this film is a teenage comedy but appeals to other audiences as well, with adult humour. It was written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen also stars in the film as one of the humorous police officers, he has been in other films such as “Knocked Up” and “You Me and Dupree”. It was released in the UK on the 14th September 2007 and on August 17th 2007 in the US. The estimated budget of the film is 20 million dollars and the film profited on its first weekend by receiving $33,052,411 in the USA on 2,948 Screens.

The film is about two teenage boys called Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) who have been friends for years but are being separated dew to getting into different schools. They are both virgins and want to get a girlfriend for the summer so they have experience when going to college, they have there eyes on two girls they have liked for a long time Jules (Emma Stone) and Becca (Martha Maclsaac) they are not the most popular and has been just them to threw most of there days. Seth luckily gets to work with Jules in a lesson and mentions they are getting fake ids, she then invites him to her graduation party and asks him to get her the boose for it, this is a big responsibility and could put him in her good books. The boys then go on an adventure for the boose with there geeky friend Fogell (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) with many funny events along the way, involving the two police officers Officer Slater and Officer Michaels played by Seth Rogen and Bill Hader who take a shinning to Fogell.

This film has great style and individuality, the cast was picked well, Jonah and Michael do a great job and it is a must see film, it is widely popular and has enjoyment throughout.
